This is Dr. McGarry looking at the daily scenes.

This movie will be about a significant piece of German literature. I only get to see Mike every once and a while, so I gotta make the most of it when I do. He came down on Wednesday and I skipped work to go riding. He's a wedding photographer so he has to work every weekend during the summer. The only time we get to hang is during the week. I decided to take him up Stults and Tanner trails south of Canon City where I grew up. Crazy single track riding!

More Pics

I got invited to go riding in Gateway, CO. It's up near Moab right on the Utah/Colorado border. My buddies Jeff, Cloyce and I rode on some of the most vertical, single-track, rock garden trails I've ever seen. I had the funniest crash ever. I got bucked off the bike down a ten foot ravine finally landing on a rocky creek bed. Ouch.

The Gateway Canyons Resort is where we stayed and It is awesome! It basically is the whole town of Gateway. I couldn't understand why this place isn't more popular. There are miles and miles of single-track riding all over and a luxury resort waiting for you when you get done. This was a super cool trip.

We stopped off and rode in Montrose on the way home. That was some crazy hill climb stuff.

More Gateway Pics

It's been a long week and I needed a little R and R. My good friend Tim and I took the bikes to the mountains in the San Isabel National Forest near Rye, CO. We have ridden there before, but it works out nice because this area is about half way for the both of us.

We were surprised to find how cool it is already getting up there. We were actually getting a little cold. The Summer is almost over. We need to try to squeeze in a couple more rides before it snows.

The Dirtbike Photos

I'd encourage everyone to look them up. They are going to be big.

AnaDies.com

My old Guitar teacher Dave is the guitar player (pictured on the right) and I graduated with Tom (second from right), the bass player.

Honestly I was floored at how well produced the music is. Every other Thursday night I shoot in a combat pistol competition. I was invited my buddy KP to go. This was my first win (KP came in second) and my third try.

The competitions are timed and scored on accuracy. Each course is different and is intended to mimic a 'real-world' situation. We have even shot in the dark with flashlights! This particular course had moving silhouettes and a doll. The exercise was a rescue in which the shooter is required to shoot one handed (with the baby in the other). It was tough. I scored the only perfect round of the night on my second go. Neener, Neener Kev!
